DEVELOPMENT OF HYUNDAI ELEVATOR FACTORY IN SHANGHAI - CHINA

Shanghai, China - HYUNDAI ELEVATOR Co. Ltd. has laid the first inauguration stone for a new factory in Shanghai, China. This new factory in China is a smart factory that will be applied with advanced machinery and local technology. On March 28, 2018, Hyundai Elevator launched a new construction plant with an annual production capacity of 25,000 units at Jinshan Industrial Park in Shanghai.

The 123,564-square-meter factory will include smart factories that are applied with sophisticated machinery and information technology; a test tower 175 meters high (10 meters underground) that can test 14 models of high, medium and low speed elevators; R & D center; and customer service center for real-time monitoring and operating maintenance of elevator.

It is estimated that the construction of the plant will be completed by the end of 2019. With the existence of this factory, it will increase Hyundai Elevator's annual production capacity in China by 3.5 times from now.
